Synopsis
Azra is a successful photographer and the devoted, playful mother of ten-year-old Jelena. As her marriage to Niko begins to fall apart, the death of her aunt Pavla brings Azra’s estranged mother, Katarina, back into her life, awakening painful childhood memories that have shaped the woman she is today.
As the boundaries between past and present begin to blur, Azra is forced to confront long-buried family secrets and unresolved trauma. She navigates this emotional journey through music and dance, her refuge and her language of expression. Azra is a musical journey through one woman’s past and our shared musical heritage: a story about memory, generational wounds, family secrets, and the courage to break free from the past and begin again.
